My name is Sierra Shamburg and I'm a grad student in Landscape Architecture. I graduated with a BS from the University of Idaho in May of 2017 and I will be graduating with my MLA in May 2018. My career goals are to work in other countries and develop my skills in foreign relations. I want to be able to make changes in other countries in order to beautify them and create a better lifestyle for the people.

Module 5: Urban Design and Urban Development Urban development has many affects on urban design, some positive, and some have the ability to be negative. There are three different types of Urban development that have changed how designers interact with sites and how they plan out their designs. The first development tactic that has shaped urban design is the Plug-in Method.  The Plug-in method consists of linear design elements that are introduced to the existing area that provide systems of infrastructure acting as connections to surrounding buildings. Module 4: Representation of Space, Information, and Design Interventions Representation in media is useful in all design fields as a way to get your point across when showing your design. There are many different ways that projects can be represented using different media techniques to showcase the diverse elements of the design. A few examples of techniques that can be used are perspectives, section drawings, stereo-graphic imagery, panodrop imagery, Utopian or urban acupuncture, and urban systems Geographic Information Systems spatial analysis.
